Tebo Dental, an Atlanta-based pediatric medical group, is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Specialist who is motivated and a dedicated professional. **Facilities Maintenance Specialist needed for a multi-location dental group. Our practices are located in Lilburn, Peachtree Corners, Dacula, and Gainesville and are close to highways for easy commuting. You will be responsible for performing a variety of routine building maintenance and repair tasks related to carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc. This position will also offer support in performing general upkeep and cleaning of facilities on an as-needed basis. Although rare, the ideal candidate will also be available to respond to emergency issues that may arise during non-peak business hours and provide on-site support at any of our locations. This person will also be a point-of-contact for vendors relative to assisting with associated maintenance and upkeep of all facilities.**

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the buildings and other structures to determine the functionality of all systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair
  • Meet with and maintain vendors as well as various maintenance and IT specialists to identify the root cause of any IT or facility malfunction and determine the method to repair these issues; Provide insight and recommendations as needed
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects involving our facilities as well as providing expertise on behalf of the company
  • Perform and/or coordinating plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.)
  • Perform and/or coordinating painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)
  • Reconfiguring installs, positioning, and remounting modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks
  • Perform and/or coordinate electrical maintenance to include replacement or repair of fixtures using the appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools
  • Oversee the maintenance of the facilities by ensuring the cleanliness of all areas of the practices, including patient rooms, staff break areas, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas, which will be executed through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying/cleaning wastebaskets, washing walls, replacing light bulbs, and restocking supplies
  • Perform and/or coordinate repairs on all dental and facilities related equipment as they arise
  • Manage, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance schedules on all needed equipment
  • Manage and maintain current manuals and warranty information on new and existing equipment
  • Coordinate the set up and break down of facilities for meetings, trainings, conferences, events, etc.
  • Order parts and maintain required documentation
  • Respond to and manage the follow-up of work and repair orders
  • Assist with inventory control and security
  • Offer support in compliance with OSHA & HIPAA policies
  • Assist in responding to Tier 1 and some Tier 2 level IT-related issues as they arise (e.g. pull and terminate Cat5e Ethernet connections, install and make needed configuration changes to workstations, and act as the on-site technician to help with troubleshooting of workstations that cannot be accessed remotely)
  • Cross-train in related positions company-wide to provide coverage and understand the operations of the business on a global level
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to travel between locations and perform site visits to perform preventative maintenance
  • Moderate computer and software skills for basic data entry, email communication and follow-up, and basic computer hardware/software troubleshooting
  • A thorough understanding of company operations and use of various office equipment (e.g. computers, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, modems, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • At least one year of experience working with dental equipment is preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and attention-to-detail
  • Customer-service driven with the ability to build effective business relationships with a wide range of people
  • Ability to take initiative to resolve problems, fix equipment, etc. with a sense of urgency
